Welcome! My name is Thomas Philbrick and I’m glad you’re here. This blog is an avenue for me to share my thoughts on issues around the topic of land use in the United States and abroad. My passion for agriculture, land, and the environment stems from my upbringing on a small farm and my close connection to the land through that lifestyle. Some of the issues that will be discussed on this forum include land tenure (both nationally and globally), conservation easements, factory farming, WOTUS debates, agroforestry, EPA regulations, Farm Bill provisions, agricultural value, land transfer, ethical meat, erosion and topsoil loss, environmental and human justice, farming technologies, environmental impacts of agriculture, and much more. I welcome your thoughts and critiques along the way and hope you visit often!
My other interests include fly fishing, reading, drawing, playing my violin, kayaking, and anything that gets me outdoors. Check out my Linkedin profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-j-philbrick-b997239b?trk=nav_responsive_tab_profile.
